Default Electromatitions, I need your help on a Motorguide

Ok quick rundown, I have an old transom mount Motorguide Stealth QuikStik I use to use on a little jon boat. After a couple years the motor would start to cut out after running awhile. Not long after I got a bigger boat and put it away. Few months ago I got a new jon so me and my son could fish a few electric only places so I dug it out. The relay switch was broken off the mount and dangling in the head. Plugging it up to the battery it wouldn't run at all. However I could jump the posts and click the on/off switch on the handle and it comes on. My thoughts were bad relay so I had the marine store get me a new one. These appear to be the exact same spec and all the prongs are the same and labeled the same, however when plugging it up, it does nothing. I tried moving two of the wires around and it made a buzzing noise but still won't turn the motor on. Think the new relay may just be faulty too? I'm hoping to fix it because right now I can't afford a new one at the moment.

Those diagrams aren't the same. The P&B shows terminals 87 and 87A connected together making it an SPST relay while the other one shows them separate making it an SPDT relay.
