    Default New jig killing 'em.

Fished about 45 minutes yesterday without a bump. Had tried several BGs, a beavertail, and a couple of hand-ties. Then put on this jig that I tied up recently, and got fish immediately on the first ten tosses. Wound up getting fish on all but two tosses, until I broke it off. It was my only prototype, so I switched to one with the same colors except a red head. It worked well and so did another new one that has a green underside instead of pink. I just tied up a bunch of the blue/blackw/pink underside jigs. If you are a tyer, this might be a good one to try out.

Is that bucktail or kiptail? Is the entire jig hair or does it have body material?

Good looking jig Sky. Night before last I was throwing a chartreuse head with a clear body and couldn't buy a hit. Buddy and son were catching several on a pink head clear body. Do you like the sickle hook better?

I've got a couple that look close to that. I've never used them but I will give them a shot. What size head is that?

Camo, It's a 1/16th head with blue sparkle powder paint, my wife's black yarn body, and black and pink kiptail.

I've had a lot better luck with the sickle head, but some guys like me to tie them with the regular hook style. I have also done well with an orange head/white yarn body/white kiptail w/a silver stripe down the side and tail.

1/16th, but I'll probably tie some 1/32 and 1/8. Let me know how you do.
