Default Jordan Report - 04/03/16 *LOST & FOUND*

A friend and I got out on Jordan yesterday. Not exactly the best conditions, but we went anyways. We paddled (yep... kayak) out from Ebenezer, and stuck close to the rip rap areas to keep out of the wind as much as possible. On our way past the bridge and around the corner, I noticed a float drifting free. I tend to pick up trash, debris, etc when i'm fishing, so this was a plus! Free float!!! However, when I pulled up on the float, I noticed there was some line. FREE STUFF AND FLOAT!!! However, it wasn't a jig, hook, etc on the other end... I pulled up a rod and reel combo!!! I don't know how long it had been in there, and the other end of the line was gone. No hooks end to it. I know there was a few of you out on the lake the day before, so I thought I'd check on here to see if anyone would like to claim this. Just let me know what the rod and reel was and we can meet up somewhere. The reel probably needs some good TLC, but I haven't looked much at it. After some quick google searches, it's not the best of the best, but I'm sure someone was probably bummed about loosing it. After that nice catch, we did find some nice slabs (Pics to come later), I think collectively, we had 3 at 12"+, 3 around 11.5" and 2 or 3 just above 10" that we kept, along with 3 catfish. Not bad for one of those days that we really shouldn't have gone out. The wind did die down around 1400 hrs, but it was pretty sketchy until then. I'm really glad Jordan has a lot of places to get out of the wind.

I just read "D's" post about the contest. The Asterisk in my title was not related to the contest... I'm sorry. That was just very ironic timing...

Nice. We went out Sunday and fished from 2-6. Didn't catch a single fish. Fished in the coves. 6 ft of water, fishing 3ft deep. Fish all over the finder but couldn't get a thing to bite.

Nice fish! Thanks for the post. I've not managed any fish from the bank the days I have been able to go, so it is nice to see some good ones being caught from Jordan.
Life jackets can be uncomfortable, but much less so than drowning.
