    Default Hand tied jigs!

I haven't post here in a long time, got into soft plastics and there is where I found a new love. I taught my neighbor how to tie, set him up with a Dan vise and all the products. He is 77 and doesn't have a computer or a cell phone. No internet to follow so he has after a few lessons is self taught like me but I have you guys and the Internet . He has so surprised me with his work and here is the reason for the post. We are fishing partners, this season each time we go out he is testing all kinds of hair jigs..no chenilles, crystal flash is different locations. Early in the morning and on cloudy days he whipped my tail of coarse he is in the back which has an advantage😉 so this past weekend I tied a tiny 1/50 and used it on the bottom of a double rig and wow it caught fish until I lost it in a brush pile. So if your tying don't quit but Browns and natural colors when the water is clear will wear the crappie out! The fox tail was the big winner.

Excellent!! Look around on the web and you'll find some step by step patterns that can be printed and you can give him. Over on Fly Anglers online check out Rick Zeiger alot of his fly patterns can be done on jig heads.

My neighbor has been there for me and my wife when she had her heart attack taking care of our dogs, the house while we were in the hospital for 9 days. We have house dogs, that are our babies and my wife treats them like humans? Any project we do where comes to crappie jigs, Jerry is right there helping. We pour together he sets the hooks in the molds I pour he removes then powder coats and puts in the oven . Great team work. When we fish it's like a machine we just work together well. One thing that hurts he doesn't know the lord . Working on that but it takes the Lord to change men and women. This ole world is about to come to an end, we need to have a life saver in us! Remember guys all around us are people hurting, lonely and we don't even know it? They need a life saver too! Later LB

I liked the first post. Growing up i had a lot of friends that were older and we worked well together. I think back on them all the time. Good friendships were formed there. Your follow up post just spoke of how much you think of one another. I have said in other posts that good friends are worth more than hard currency. You're fortunate to have him so close. You know who put him there.
