The wife and I got on the water around 1 today. We spent a while riding around scouting. The wind was still pretty rough today, but the water looks good. Started out pulling jigs in 15-20 fow. We managed 5 fat females both black and whites. They were all 12-13 inch fish. The water eventually hit 60 degrees and we decided to try shallower and cast some jigs. Found a good sunny bank with some cover on it and started catching fish. My wife caught the 30th keeper at about 8 o clock. Most of our fish were caught on "Slabeye's" slab twister grubs on roadrunner heads in the Monkey Juice color.![]()

I've been wondering where you have been lately. Big shout out to bringing your wife and on catching a great bunch of craaps! Very good job. Another double limit from the crappie machine!

Great report...yes the winds was brutal yesterday 4-4-16 also...we did manage a 2 man limit in about 2.5 hrs casting the banks...the black males are getting really pretty in their spring tuxes
Congrats on the catch Crappiehabits! I am still trying to find them like that.
Mickey, I too was out at Tville yesterday. The wind was horrible, I couldn't ever get out of it. We managed to find 8 keeper white females in 20 fow, caught them 14ft deep. I used minnows and never got close to the bank really due to winds. Looks like I need to closer to the bank and target the black crappie.
We been fishin in mississippi! Headed out again Friday for five days. Wish us luck. Last trip we were able to get our first 3 lber in the boat. 3.2lbs cost us a rod tip and a birds nest but it was definitely worth it! The smaller fish that chad(crappiehabits) is holdin was 2.7.![]()
