    OH man that is an AWESOME VIEW!!! I have always been curious about barge life! I love being on the water it doesn't matter in what! You like doing what you do? Do you have to have a military background to get on with a company in that profession?

    I absolutely love it! 280 days on the water a year, we fish a couple times a week when stopped, monthly two week vacations, full benefits with pension. I'll retire doing this. My teacher said I would never make a living by looking out the window, guess I showed her!

    No, several veterans out here, but most guys come out here with just a high school diploma or GED. I'm the odd one out having gone to college.

    And we are in the Intercoastal Waterway in Louisiana headed to New Orleans, then onto Mobile and up the Tenn-Tom. That Arkansas river is a booger!

    Great view. Can't imagine the number of batteries you'd need to put a trolling motor on it!
