    Is there a boat ramp below Shelbyville on the kaskaskia River? If so is the fishing any good down river. Would like to go this weekend but have no desire to fight the wind on the main lake. Thanks

    There's on at the campground/motel below the spillway. Last time I bank fished down there the ramp looked pretty sketchy though. There were big chunks missing out of it. The water level down below the spillway would probably determine if it's usable or not.

    That ramp was closed last weekend, don't know when it will reopen.

    The ramp is still closed due to a big rock in he center of it.
