    Default Skiatook Lake

Went out yesterday and caught 15 fish mainly small ones. Ended up keeping 5. All fish caught at 11 ft. On brush.

Son-in-law caught this pig at Skiatook Tuesday. 15 feet on a big red/chartreuse jig. Caught it on his first drop, and didn't get another bump. 18 inches, but no weight. He put it in the cooler as a measure of length and then released it to "grow up".

Getting real close to it doesn't matter where you are fishing, just go fishing. If you are bank bound hit Spencer on Oologah or just drive down 69 along Eufaula and jump out and join them when you see a bunch of people. If you are in a boat, hit the coves shallow areas and the 6-12 depths closest to that. Some great spawning lakes are Eufaula, Oologah, Kaw,ect. the usual suspects! But dont overlook some of the smaller lakes either. Like dripping Springs, Okmulgee, Sapulpa lakes & Bixhoma. A trip down to Hugo or Pine creek may knock your socks off this time of year if you can handle that drive.
