Chickamauga Lake 3/28/16
I took my good friend, Gary Fomby, out for a crappie fishing trip this AM. I was clueless since I hadn't crappie fished in over 3 weeks. I have been fooling with the tailwaters below dams for stripers, white bass, walleye, and drum. We had 12 mph winds out of the NW this AM and it took over an hour before we found an area that was sorta out of the wind that had fish on it. We ended up with 25 keepers and several shorts. One tiny bass that had big ideas. Float and jig with Crappie Dawg lures in the rainbow color, a custom made lure that Mike Johnston made for me. The crappie loved it today. Both of us are having a fish fry for dinner tonight. Yum yum. Grin.
