Pretty close to Sweet Lake. It is Miami Corporation. You have to have a permit to fish there and the motor size is limited to 25 HP. We launch at the Gibbstown bridge and run down the intercostal, you can also cross the bridge and launch straight into the front marsh which is what I usually prefer to do.Originally Posted by mermentau

So, even though Lacassine raised their motor limit to 40 hp, the Burns has a 25 hp limit? We used to fish Miami corp land years ago just a little east of where you went, and we would see people with big motors. I think the biggest that i seen was a 90 hp out there.

Johnny, yes Lacassine has a 40 hp limit and burns has a 25 hp limit. I know my uncle was the care taker of the burns for years and I believe he ran a 90 but had permission being he over looked all of the burns.

Nice catch. Dwayne you are making me miss my 25hp boat. I use to haul a lot fish out of there way in the back.

I used to fish catfish in Sweet and Willow lakes, but that's all. Willow lake at times had the prettiest water I've ever seen in Louisiana. I could pass over the net and see if there were any fish in it. That launch is sure steep and the tugs suck on it hard when they come by. Probably too far for fun fishing.
