We started out yesterday morning in Nivens Creek. Water temp 62 degrees. After 2 hours of longlining we only had 4 crappies so we headed up to Torrance Creek and fished the back of the creek in 10-12 feet of water. Marked tons of fish but the bite slow. We picked away at them and came home with 26 crappies, 21 perch and 4 channel cats. Threw back 3 LM bass and Crappiekrazy had a real nice blue cat on that first snapped the rod then the line.
Being no dummies we went back to Torrence this morning and still marked alot of fish and the bite was better. We ran out of minnows after 2 hours and brought home another 16 crappies and 10 white perch. Great trip with friends.
