After the flooding I got to cleaning up and when it came to my sac rods I realized I had one left without a broken tip. I'm not big on dropping money on tackle of any kind. I might carry six homemade jigs a trip. I TRY to carry two rods when I go though and the salters rod is my lady's n she'd kick me out Ifn I broke it....
I've never bought a sac rod that I was 100% happy with. I always alter em in some way or another. Closest I've come was BnMs BBUL with a bottom reel seat and I ordered it. It's a great feeling rod and I'd prob buy another tip but I won't order rods anymore. I need to hold em.
So I went to academy. I HATE shopping half as much as being in public. Bad trait/gene, but that's me. I held every one they had. Not many regardless.
Wally Marshall yellowish series and then the solo im6, Bucks REGULAR GRAPHITE BnM, Bucks duck commander, etc. I was just gon grab the solo simply bc it had the bottom reel seat, but I kept saying "y is it so heavy" and then "it feels too noodly". Anywho, they had one other in the back of the rack so I grabbeded it.
    Made by All Star.
Felt the right weight, a lil heavier than a BBBUL but not a whole lot, wasn't a wet noodle, grip was comfortable....... BUT too long handle. Although orange tip is nice.....
    Been in there too long.
Bought it, hacked it, filled it, capped it.
I think I cut off about 7" Threw on a Solo and jig.
Gon give it a test run in the morn and will report back.

I know what you mean, I like the BnM Ultra lights the best too and I broke the top on one of my 11 footers today! Sad part is that it wasn't even on a fish! Got hung up in the lily pads and like an idiot I bent it over trying to get it back and SNAP! I knew better too!

That's my favorite pole as well. I get my tips straight from BnM, if you order several at a time you save a few bucks even with the shipping added in
