Must be nice to have a private lake . Your growing some good fish . I see you cut some buckets in 1/2. We cut them into then put lids on top 1/2 . Plenty enough weight to sink them . I use mill scraps of hardwood or red Cedar , what are you using ?

    Thanks guys!!!

I cut one bucket in half to see how that turned out. From now on I will be doing that since it looks like yours turn out great! I used my crepe myrtle limbs that I trimmed. Nice and straight with no tiny branches to get hung on. Hahahaha killed 2 birds with one stone. Cut all my neighbors crepe myrtles for free and then I get free wood too! I dont know if crappie like crepe myrtles, but was gonna try it and see how it did.

It is very nice having some private reservoirs. I will say though, I dont fish them much anymore now that I have my boat and electronics. I like fishing different and new places. Makes me feel like a better fisherman when I'm not catching, as my friend calls it, TAME FISH. Mississippi lakes are less than 2 hours from me, so I am learning as much about them as I can.
