    I have only had the boat out once but figure I might have some free time soon. Wouldn't mind picking up a dozen crappie for the freezer. My wife is a city gal who doesn't eat much fish unless it comes from a restaurant so I don't need many.

    It's time but last report I heard was still muddy ? Overcup is on fire I hear .

    I bet they are biting on the Big D too. You just won't hear anyone say that they are!

    I heard that too but I've never been on that lake. I might have to check it out soon.

    True. I'm lucky to get to fish twice a month so it's hard for me to follow the fish movements. I just have to guess and hope for the best.

    I hear ya. I haven't been fishing in months. Sad, sad, sad...
    My main strategy is to check parking lots. This is a good indicator that the fish are biting. The only problem with this is that you are fighting the crowds. Some times you just have to take a chance and see what happens. This has worked well for me several times. When you do this, the crowds are much smaller (the way I prefer it) and you are setting the trend, rather than being a follower. Good luck! This time of year, you should be able to get on some fish just about anywhere.
