We have gotten to eating them a lot more with coating light with olive oil then shake and bake, then bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Pretty good and I don't like anything baked.

DIDN'T FILET A FISH TILL I STARTED FISHING LIKE THIS ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO . BUT MY MOMMA ALWAYS WANTS THOSE SMALLER ONES WHOLE AND GOT TO KEEP MOMMA HAPPY . MY WIFE WON'T EAT ANYTHING BUT FILET . GOTTA LOVE IT . I EAT FISH ANYWAY I HAVE THEM .

Eat em both ways, but like em whole much better. Always make one or two trips to the rez just to get some pan sized fish.

Gonna try to broil this weekend. There just isn't another fish that tastes as good as crappie do to me. Specked trout come close , but not quite there.
