    Default The Sportsmans Show

Had time on my hands today because we got 4 1/2" on rain day before and it was way to wet to do anything in the yard, and the wind was blowing out of the North at unfishable speeds, so my son and I made a trip to kill some time.

Gee, there was so much to look at. I was a little disappointed in the fact that there was not much in the line of tackle for Sac hunters like us. I did see one rack with some 12 and 14 foot poles and one booth dedicated to mostly crappie fishing although he is also starting to move into the salt water line. That was Capt. Clyde Folse the inventor of the Crappie Psychic scented baits which he soaks in Crappie Psychic secret sauce.

Our members TreeFrog (Brandon Jennings) and Sliderfishing (jtortego) are on his pro staff. Some of you got some of the Crappie Psychic products at D'Arbonne this past November that TreeFrog brought. I've tried them with some success but really haven't gave the a good workout. I hope to do so this summer. Anyway he a great fellow, great family man, and a great sacalait fisherman. He even had his lovely daughter take our picture together. I hope to hookup with him one day and learn a few tricks. He tells me it's no tricks just Crappie Psychic, we'll see.

Now if you were into boats, tractors, and other outdoor equipment then there were plenty to see, We were limited in time and only got to see a part of all that was there. We stop for a while to watch the dogs run and splash. I wish I still had my dog Lace, she could of out jump any that I saw today.

It was a beautiful day to be out and about and hope this weather settles before the next batch comes in so we can wet our lines again. I need to go catch me some more brain food, I've been slipping lately.
