I dragged myself out of bed yesterday to get out fishing on Jordan. When I got there I stuck to the places that I thought would have some fish, and did have some over the past few weeks, but those apparently just turned into nurseries because they were all about 6" or less. I wasn't doing well. I passed by a bass guy, who pointed me to a small cove. He said he had seen a few others the day before doing well. That was a really nice guy.
I I paddled over to the cove and dropped two rods for crappie and one with chx liver for any random catfish coming by. From 0745 - 1030, I had caught 55 crappie total of various sizes! It was amazing! At about 10 I finally put away the second crappie rod because I couldn't handle both. It was non stop!! Anyways... I left about 1300 or so, with 83 fish caught, 15 crappie (11" or better), 1 cat, and 2 white Perch (mostly because they wouldn't leave me alone and I want to see how they taste).
By by far the best day I've ever had with crappie, and my first cat from a kayak. Which is kind of like having a trolling motor. Haha.

Thank you, Sir. (Lt? Officer?)
It was by far my best day ever, and a blast in the kayak!
Now that I have some freezer food, I kind of want to start playing with bigger fish for fun. I may have to start looking for more cats, etc.

Great report! Thanks for sharing!
Nice day and nice looking kayak! That looks like a comfortable seat.
Great report, glad you got on them. When I was a teen I had a 1 man rubber raft that I fished from it was fun hooking a fish that would take you for a ride. Hook something like a cat and you were shooting across the lake.Good memories
Don't forget the wooden jonboat you built from scratch!
