    Default Moss Lake 3/19/16 Report*

I went to Moss this afternoon really just to test out some electronics that I rearranged and rewired.

I ran into the back of a creek and found 2 young men whose motor had let them down, so we spent the next hour towing their boat back to the landing.

By the time I ran back to the fishing grounds, there was only about 90 minutes till sunset. The first place I tried was holding some hungry crappie. I thought I had caught 20, but there was only 19 in the livewell when I got home.

My darling wife is heating up some oil as I type! The water temp was about 67 and the few fish I caught were about 5 feet deep in 15 to 20 fow. All fish caught vertical fishing with jigs.

Super report, super pics and super good deed. I took the liberty of fixing the upside down photo. I saved it to my comp. ,rotated it and reinstalled. Then I edited out the upside down. "D"

I have been on both ends of the tow rope. Glad you took the time to help out. Years ago, I was on a lake near my home in November scouting for ducks. No other boats had been seen on the lake that day. My engine blew on the old boat I had at the time and I was using the trolling motor to try and get back to the dock which was probably 2 miles away. A pleasure boat suddenly appeared and I jumped up and went to waving my arms. He turned and came over and stopped. I told him what had happened and asked for a tow. He said he did not have time to mess with me and left. He went in the direction of my boat landing. I finally made it in after the trolling motor battery went down and I brought out the paddle. Since then I have helped several others including towing a couple of guys two miles across Pamlico Sound in rough water. Again glad you helped. Good report.

Thanks D! I'm really ignorant about these computers. I mess more stuff up than I fix.

Thanks, the mount looks crooked in the pic, but it looks right in person. After I posted the pic, I had to run back out to the boat shed and look at it again.

I need to get up with you when I get ready to put in a new finder unit. I've never trusted my electronic because I'm not sure I'm wiring them in right to keep the interface from messing with them. Working on a project boat now. So I hope to have ready by later this year if all goes well.
Thank a Veteran every chance you get.
