Has anyone ever or can you run a SI with a tiller steer boat? I found a company that makes a mount for electronics for tiller boats, but wasn't sure if the vibration would effect the transducer.

Mine seems fine on my 9.9 hp tiller. Why would a tiller vibrate differently than a console?

Maybe it's just me but I feel more vibration at the back of my tiller compared to a friends console steer!

Probably because you're holding onto the tiller handle that's directly connected to the motor ... while a console steering person is holding onto a steering wheel that's connected to the motor through cables !!Originally Posted by Offthehook
