    Default Weekday fishing partner?

I am a retired Army Sergeant living near Kentucky Lake and due to circumstances, entirely my own fault; the boat I have been rebuilding will not be ready any time soon. I am afraid I am going to miss the entire spawn. If you fish the north end of Kentucky or Barkley lake and are looking for a weekday fishing partner (I don’t fish on the weekends much as my bride still works and I like to keep the weekends for her) I would like to find someone who would like someone else in the boat.

    Pros:
     I don’t smoke or chew
 I have my own tackle for vertical jigging or casting jigs
 I am willing to pay my share of fuel, bait, jigs or whatever.
 I don’t know anything about pushing or pulling jigs or crankbaits or spider rigging or long lining so I will not offer my opinion on how you are doing it wrong if that is how we are fishing.
 I know enough to keep my mouth shut on where, how, when and what we were fishing with so if you happen to take me to a spot you do not to be shared it will not be shared.

    Cons:
 If we are pushing or pulling jigs or cranks, I may ask questions to learn how to be an asset rather than a liability.
 I don’t do real well in very bad weather. I know “real” crappie fishermen fish in hailstorms, but I don’t.

So if you are looking for a weekday partner PM me and I will give you my cell number.

Tried to edit my post and deleted it

Wishing you luck and if we were closer and I had time off during the week, you'd be more than welcome in my boat.

I have been and still am in your shoes really, to me it seems like when it comes to crappie people get kinda selfish for lack of better words.
Me for example, I own a brand new 20' Express with all the gear and gadgets to use any method to catch a crappie, I just don't really like to fish alone. I know several guys who are crappie fisherman and couple hard core guys, for the last year or so I have offered that if they are fishing solo and want some company to just give me a holler. We can use my equipment, theirs or flip flop and have yet to get that phone call!! I'm not looking for honey holes and things, I'd just like a fishing partner and be able to learn from someone else and hopefully share what little I know.

I guess it's like other things such as deer, duck, and turkey most people are afraid of loosing something like their favorite lease so to speak, I can't be that away......I carry folks deer, turkey and swamp rabbit hunting all the time and have yet to receive and invite to somewhere.
Anyhow enough of my sob story, like I said wish we were closer and I hope ya have luck finding a seat in someone's boat.

Speaking for myself, Balderdash! I fish on Barren and take out more people in my little Panfish Pro than you could imagine, average two a week. On April 4th I'll be taking a father/son over to fish Johnathan for several days. Let's not throw anyone under the bus.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!

I have a 94 ranger and fish a lot by myself. I retired in July and moved to Marion area. I am a bass fisherman at heart but I have been wanting to learn about crappie fishing. I usually fish 2 times a week but would go more if I had someone to go with. If interested send me an email with your phone number and I will get right back to you. Denny

Clint I can't promise nothing but I'm sure there will be some days in the near future that I will fish during the week by myself. How much of a notice will you need to work it in?
