    Default 03/16/2016 Logan Martin report

Water temperature was 63 in the morning.

I trolled 1/16 oz grubs in water 8 to 24 feet. I trolled from .7 to 1.1 mph. 13 feet deep seemed to be the best depth. I caught 9 crappie before 10am and then the bite stopped. I used black/chartreuse, white/red, white, and blue/chartreuse. I also caught a flathead catfish that weighed 14 pounds and 13 ounces. Caught him on a black/chartreuse jig. Took me almost 10 minutes to land him. He barely fit into my landing net. I let him go. I brought home 5 crappie. Biggest two were 14 inches and the other three were 11 inches.

Good report, I'm heading out in the morning. Tuesday I found a few in a area I only normally catch them when there close to the spawn so may need to go 4 to 10 ft range.

Good report thanks. Looks like we'll need to hunt them down with these cold fronts in and out.
