Thread: FAMILY DAY 3/16/16

Took family out a couple hours today. Needless to say we had a blast!!! My wife and I sat and watched my son learn a lot with a cork and minnow this morning! For once he would sit still and just watch something! Now he didn't have to watch very long before it would disappear. But man he grew up today! I love fishing corks and minnows and now my boy does as well! He has always been a constant caster, but he saw today that if he would leave it sit still, then it would pay off! Action was constant! Every single fish was a male. Caught em in maybe a foot of water. Had as many throwbacks as we kept. We did keep a small one. Story behind that.....I told my boy that we were going to throw it back and he said, "throw it in the ice chest". I said, we need to let it go so it can be with its mommy. He said "let's catch the mommy and put her in the ice chest with the baby so they can be together in there and then we can eat em both". Well.....how could I argue with that! So in the box it went. I was having to slip the smaller ones back in the water after that wen he was distracted with catching another!
