Default Lakes starting to warm up early

Most lakes have higher than normal water levels . This high pressure , high wind and Bluebird skies not helping . With surface water temps reaching into 60's on some lakes it should get better . Fished with a friend yesterday on a lake he would rather I not name . We kept only 11 but they were good ones . Started off slow but after we stopped for lunch Crappie bite was done . We did get into some Green Carp later in the day . Most were caught on a not so secret bait , purple/chart umbrellas . Did alot of scanning when bite slowed . A great day to be on the water .

Sure looks like a great time and some good sammiches. Wish I were not too busy to fish right now.

I can tell by the background behind you exactly where you were. I plan to be there this weekend sitting right in your secretive friend's favorite spot.

Seriously, I think the water temps and levels are gonna mean good fishing over the next couple of weeks. I'm out on Spring Break next week and I know I'm gonna do my part to try to net a few and put em in the grease! GTT
