But, IMHO .... it's going to be more than a week or two before the spawn is in full swing. We just have to hope that the Spring storms are spread out enough that Green doesn't flood as bad as it did last year.
I'm just hoping that the length of daylight for the beginning & ending of the spawn has some merit. A study done showed that nests were started when daylight was about 13.2hrs long & basically ended at 14.6hrs long. Our Spring Fling date of Apr 16th should have just over 13hrs of daylight between sunrise & sunset. And of course, lake conditions & weather play an equal part in when it starts & how long the spawn runs.
