You are making it hard not to call you a name or three. Congratulation on a fine day fishing. All I can say is you plus Stump Hunter make me jealous some times. To think, I use to live in Manning fished all around Santee and the swamps and I still can't get Wylie to give up some big fish. But I'm not moving back down there so you know I won't be in any boat close to you guys. LOL Thanks for the report and pictures. Good job!

Wylie has some big fish as well, back when I fished bunches of tournaments I finished 2nd in a Crappie USA event with 10 fish weighing nearly 18 pounds. That was a huge disappointment not winning with that weight

There was a time when crappies were abundant and big. Then there were only big ones and no medium size. Then there was a turn around and all fish were small 6-8 inches just before the limit was changed and size. We are getting big fish again but just not as often as it use to be. Two years ago my sister and I both got 2 big gals both in the 3 pound range, eggs dripping so were released to finish spawning and hopefully give a smile to someone else. We only wished Wylie was like Santee or any of the other lakes that produce nice fish pretty much all the time. We'll get back there some day if we get a good spawn or 2 and Perch don't get to them first. But hey if I can't get them I'm not worried, I can watch the fishing on the board.

Congrats on a great trip! Those are fondly remembered for years. That's what makes us get up early and as often as possible. Congrats again...

After reading the results of an FLW bass event held this weekend on Santee, and the bass pros description of what took place for them, (huge bags of big fish) winner had 5 going over 30 pounds on Saturday. I feel the same way as them, I was in the right places, at the exact right time as the big fish made their first move towards the shallows. Long lining was the perfect technique to intercept the schools of big fish as they made their way into the spawning grounds. This is the third time I've been fortunate enough to have been in this situation. The first time was Santee 2005, the second was on Greenwood during the Crappie Masters event that we won, now again on Santee 2016. Great fishing experiences that do leave a lasting impression.
