Anyone have advice on removing skunk smell from a dog? My mixed breed, Sheba, just came in with a faint smell of skunk on her coat. Apparently she found a spot that held the odor and was not directly sprayed herself.

I know for a fact that the tomato juice will work. May have to use it more than once though. But it is a fairly cheap remedy.

Mix some apple cider vinegar with the tomato juice one wash and that's it... don't ask me how I know...lol

Fortunately it wasn't too hard to get off. I did use the vinegar along with V-8 juice (had no pure tomato juice). All the contamination seemed to be around her muzzle, so I concentrated on that area. Can still detect it if I get close, but not really noticeable otherwise. I guarantee she didn't get much on her or it wouldn't have been this easy.
