We got a great deal on a cabin at Tenkiller for the weekend. Unfortunately, the Ranger, the Marina, and everyone else said that Tenkiller was dead. So the wife , daughter, son-in-law, two (foster) grandkids (4 and 5), and I hit Greenleaf for the first time. I'd post pictures, but it's against the rules to post pictures of foster kids on the internet. We saw squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, crows, an eagle, a nuthatch, and a lot of deer. And a bunch of 3" to 8" crappie. Of about 60 fish, we only got 4 over 10 inches, but one was 12.5 inches. One lady from Arkansas caught an 11.5 incher. All of the other fish caught at the dock were 10.5 or under.
We tried everything, including my tied jigs, lots of plastics, and ice spoons. The fish bit everything, but what worked best was an itty bit monkey milk BG on a 1/64th oz. jig and several small spoons in various colors.
There were several really nice folks at the fishing dock. They were all glad to tell us about the 12"-14" fish they caught last week.
