After having to un hook and go get a tire fixed, we got to go fishing. I wanted to try out my new crappie reaper planer boards. I had never pulled boards for crappie but after doing so I will be pulling them a lot in the future. Thanks to Tenn. Crappie Hunter Jeff Laning for the boards. We fished some creeks on the upper Coosa and we caught a bunch of fish most short. I bet we caught 50 9 1/2 to 9/34. We had 20 keepers I kept 12 for supper and released the good females that were full of eggs. Fish were in about 6' of water. Water was about 50 degrees, still a little cool, but this week will push a lot of good fish shallow I think.

thanks for the report!a few of MTCC members will be coming down the 1st part april.I hope fishing is still hot then.
GOD loves fishermen, the earth is 75% water
Great report! I like the sounds of the boards, need to figure that out. I'm looking at the products on the bullet bobbers site as a possibility. Ever use them?
no but I like these boards. Ive pulled big boards for stripers but Im new at the small ones. I really like them. Lets you spread your baits out and cover a lot of water. Jeff Lanning makes these boards. He is a tenn. boy and a good guy. Crappie Reaper is the name of the boards and he has a web site. I think these boards will be dynamite at Guntersville in the big creeks.
Great report! I don't fish Weiss, but that's the most detailed report I've ever read. Most anglers on Weiss seem very tight lipped about what the fish are doing, LOL.
