    Default Bundick's Lake 03/05/16

Very slow day on the water but you couldn't ask for better weather. I had to hunt for them and when you would find them, it was one or two fish then nothing for a while.. Basically fished from daybreak til dark and ended keeping 42 and throwing back around 25 short fish... The bite was crazy because some fish, you barely felt them hit and others would swallow them.. I think I caught 5 or 6 that were hooked in the gills, so i felt the need to keep them.. Some were caught in 18 fow and some as shallow as 7 fow. Most were caught in about 12 fow fishing on the bottom.. Biggest fish were: 2lb 2oz, 2.0lbs, 1lb 15oz and 1lb 14oz. And a few around the pound and half area.. Best jigs were blue/white early then black/chartreuse later in the day. ok, time for a few pics..

First one is the 400 jigs that my son and I made. (because Bundick's likes to keep jigs)

A closer look at the ones I use the most of.

This is the biggest one, seems like she lost a couple ounces over night in the ice chest.

This is the ones that I kept.

and it looks like they are ready to drop them.

And Dwyane, I seen you trying to get a sunset pic and wasn't sure if you got it or not.

Johnny, you may not remember. You sold me some heads several years ago. You mailed them to me in Lake Charles. I have bought from a couple of people since then, but yours were the best by far.

Johnny, I did get the sunset picture and I have one of the day before but I was so tired when I was transferring pictures that I completely forgot about it and if it didn't have a fish in it, the picture didn't get moved! May try to find them and get them posted. Thanks for the reminder. And that is some nice looking fish you got there!

Oh and YES Bundicks loves to keep jigs! As Sneaky Pete would say "Bundicks, that lake has a lead problem, and I have helped contribute to that problem!"
