I have considered taking my straps off also. But I thought they didn't serve any purpose but an arm rest. Am I wrong? Will taking them off cause the seat to kinda hyper extend. I put 3 of the Milleniums on my boat and its kinda weird when I bring a guest it takes them a few hours to realize how comfortable the seats are. I usually get something like "hey my back dont hurt like it usually does when I fish". I admire your tinkerin and I bet one day your gonna find a niche and "strike it rich".

The straps are the only support that will keep the backs of the seats from folding flat.

    Hey, I resemble that remark!!!

Yea, me and another big ol' redneck boy are going to try out a pair of them this weekend.

A boney butt like Rickie isn't much of a test. I told him I was his #1 crash test dummy.

Millenium's are great seats, I use them for hunting. Thought about getting one for the boat. Wish they would adopt your idea, they should. Never have seen the bottom, are they equipped to put on a pedestal as is or do you have to add to what you get from them??

    Let me state clearly ...

The Millenium seats are fantastic ... The most comfortable seat I have ever fished out of ...

Gene has a great product without modification ...

    I modify everything I buy ...because I can ...

If I decide to sell my modification idea ... The packaging (nor my website) will in no way list, show or state that the idea is a modification to Gene's product ...

My idea description will clearly state ... "Aluminum slotted arm for some folding type chairs"

I hope my idea will actually allow Gene more sales of his great product ...
