Sorry Vic it's confusing topic that's been hashed over several times. as far as anyone getting a ticket for it not that I'm aware of but you could

Not sure either but that is how I have mine done. That way I can run 8 when by myself. Hopefully it covers us when two people rigging and sharing rods.

I believe you would be covered as far as labeling rods, with just your info.
then just keep fish separate or marked.

I have been checked on Truman and asked to see that my extra rod was labeled. The agent didn't actually look at the number close enough to know it was mine but wanted to see them labeled.
If an agent treats poles like a trotline or jug any fish you catch on your line or jug with your number goes toward your limit. So if all rods are labeled with one name/number they may all legally count toward one persons limit. Not for sure just a thought.

Here ya go, if nobody will fish with me, so I am only one in the boat! I borrow Jared's rods, I have all 8 of his rods set out. Game warden shows up, goes through my live wells, dry storage, ect and can't find anybody else in the boat. Who's rods are they? Missouri spider rigging

Personally, I've been checked for license and limit 2x on Truman, both times rigging. Neither check (had another person with me) involved a discussion about "who is fishing with what rods".
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

I am hoping the law man says they are mine! Poor Jared! Teach you to loan me your poles! Maybe he just give Jared a ticket for not watching his poles!

Well got my answer today got checked by the mdc on Stockton and there answer was as long as the rods had a label that it was fine and who ever catches the fish that fish goes towards that persons limit and by the way rigging is a lot of work going to take a little practice but I think it will be fun when you get it down
