Default Norman 3-2 with the better half

It was windy windy windy. Any other time i would sit by butt at home and catch up on things, but the better half insisted on going since we finally lined up a day off where it wasnt 30 degrees, or raining sideways.

were greeted with stiff winds gusting to 20 and norman swelling up to 2-3 ft with water spraying over the bow....looked like a typical day i plan to fish offshore at the beach as of late.

trolled around a few areas blocked by the wind somewhat and it was just miserable. was only able to pull 3 rods. 2 downriggers and 1 leadcore. got lucky and only had 1 bite. about a 19 inch hybrid. all i needed was 1 fresh one for dinner!!

Report them good and bad, this one was bad but still always an adventure.

off the water the next 2 weeks with work and potentially a beach trip, but have officially made the boat transition to spring time live baiting. no more leadcore.

If anyone wants fast paced live bait action this spring especially the whole month of April in the evening and into the night, we can make it happen!

Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.
Individual maker of the heavy duty "hybrid" A-rig Trolls just like an umbrella rig, Guaranteed to put fish in the boat

Thanks for the post Pete. Got a question for you, I was reading an article in a fishing mag that said the Striper love live Perch , have you had any experience with this? have you caught any long lining perch?

I have not really used perch too much, but have had EXCELLENT luck trolling small bream off of points and shallow rocky banks in the evenings.......man i just gave away one of my spring big fish secrets :P Catch them up!
