    Default Slider question?

You that fish, lots of different baits, have u fished a slider? Charlie Brewer? The paddle tail! What is it about that bait that catches fish? I think it's the tail! It has so much action! Any thoughts?

Randy is probably in the tail action there are many different styles of swam baits each manufacturer probably has a different design a little bit different from one another and if you just get that tail just right it will definitely have a nice solid wiggle action.

Yep....its the action.....and they work even better if you use the special slider jig heads he makes as well. The company Charlie Brewer)has been around a long time and they are a major sponsor of Crappie.Com and have been for years.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

It is a good bait, but CB made his name with his "do nothing", "no action" straight-tail worm.

    Try 'em both.

They work great, the tail action is the key, with good bright colors. I use them on all types of jigs, spinners & Underspin jigs.

Don't mean to hijack Lifebites post but I still have a small box full of those original straight tail worms and the original slider heads.

I think also the profile resembles mosquito fish and natural minnows that are so common in the shallow areas they frequent so much. Just a tasty looking lil morsel of a minnow.

Now that I only use my own I stack mine against the best in the business head to head in as best of controlled experiment most big names I stand tall! Slider is one special bait! Tonight I made a 2" out of clay and baking it to make an open pour! It took over an hour just to get the tail right with the paddle? The tail is so tiny it may not come out of the mold!

Liftbite56 do it sells a thump grub mold that is very close to the slider. I have it and it's a fish catcher for sure.
