    Accurate. I have the Point 1. I use it with "heading up". Dead on.

    One on the bow and one on the console? The Point 1 is a great addition IMO, if you don't fish off shore structure it won't help much though. If you decide to purchase one I recommend installing it directly over the stern transducer if possible. Set the console unit to use the Point 1 for both GPS and heading sensor, set the bow unit to internal GPS and the Point 1 as the heading sensor. You will also need a NMEA starter kit and probably an extra T, cable to the bow and terminator depending on how you set it up. As CP posted set it to heading up.

    I've had one for a year now and if if went bad today I'd buy another one tomorrow. It makes staying on brushpiles when your map doesn't spin around every time the boat drifts backwards.

    Gonna x2 on what everyone is saying. I use a point one on my hds8 g2 with an old global map 5200 stacked above it. Smooth accurate right now posistion updates and you can look at the arrow icon and actually tell left from right and front from back.
