    Default Uncle Remus' Flat Cats

Robert wanted to show off his flat cats so Gerald Cromer could get more fired up about going to Alaska. The lead weighed more than most of the fish I've caught!!

The numbers are the weights of the fish. The 132 lb one bout whipped the guy that was dumb enough to pick up that rod.

I reeled in one 66 lb. and baited back up let it down and sat down = about 2 min. passed and the tip went down and guide said there he is on your line=I said that ain't my line I quit ==I'm not going to die in Alaska lol
the young man that reeled in the big one was a pretty stout guy about 30 yrs. old when he got it to the boat the guide shot it and got the gaff in it and the reel man dropt the reel and staggered to the cabin of the boat and fell in it he was beat took him long time to come back around. took him 45 min. or more to land it. we were fishing 300ft. deep with 7lb. of lead to sink bait all reels were manual and just to reel in to check bait was big job against a swift current.
I don't care for halibut so I wont be going after them anymore but the salmon were a whole different story = ton of fun and fit to eat ill see if I can get Ray to put pic of them on. all of um were about 10-12 lb.our first run at um

thanks for remarks fellers and thank you Searay for help
the video is just like the guide did ours then we cut it up in meal size packs.
the stringer of salmon was well over 100 lb. Uncle Remus was hollering for picture taker to hurry.it was bout all I could hold up.
went back the next day and did it to um again
anybody going up there on your on this place was between Anchorage and Homer forgot hwy. no. tell the guide you don't want to go to the chicken coop (that's where you only catch small ones up to about 20 lb.)a lot of guides will take you there and you will catch your limit but they will be small. ask the guide if he will take you to take you where you can catch some good size fish and if he has a problem with it get you another guide. if anybody wants to take the trip on your on call the # on the pic. he might still be in business and I think he will do you right. if you have questions for me P M me your phone # and ill call you. thanks for reading Uncle Remus
