Default Bundicks Friday and Saturday with dad

Well Dad and I made a trip to bundicks this weekend. Got up there around 6:30 Friday morning and fished until 9:30 before the wind blew us off the lake. We had caught 9 white perch fishing 14 feet deep in 18 fow, best color was red/chrt. Towed a guy back in whose motor had quit on him, and he showed us a spot to catch some Kentucky bass below the spillway but I had left my bass rods at home so off to wally world we went. Ended up catching a couple. Went to Hopewell bridge that afternoon and only managed to catch 2 more. Went out this morning at daylight and met Jlaughlin and his son Justin and Saute86 and his son Dylan at the ramp. My dad made the comment that we had 3 father son teams out there, pretty neat. Ended up catching 12 before the wind blew us off the water at around 10 so back to the spill way we went and picked up 3 more bass and 3 bream. It was tough fishing but we managed to catch enough for a few suppers. Today the fish were a little shallower, we were catching in 14 fow fishing 11 feet deep, best color today was black and chrt. Here are the pictures.

Yea Rick dad turned 73 in December and he is a lot slower than he use to be, he has had both knees replaced, but as long as he's able, I'm going to bring him.

Dwayne I lost my father 6 years ago. He started taking me fishing on Lacassine Bayou before I could walk. We use to camp on the weekends at the pond on the east side of the bridge on HWY 14 every summer. Enjoy these times while you can. I enjoyed meeting yall this morning. You have to come learn the bayou soon.

Johnny, I think the jigs you gave me made more of a difference than the jig heads but the other jig head that I was using was the one that flipped into your boat to show you and I had a red/chrt on it, the 2 colors were fairly close. Looks like mid south will be getting a call from me soon! Those were the only 2 that I could catch on.

Dwayne, glad to hear that you are getting to spend some time with your dad and you're catching fish too. What a blessing. Congratulations!
