Speaking of marbles, I am living in the house right next door to where I was raised from age 2 to 18. There was a large ditch between the properties back then and we play a lot on the banks of that ditch. Now the ditch is covered and every now and then while running my tiller or planting something I unearth a marble and now have a collection of them. They are part of my childhood memories.

Bet my nephew and I could dig up a few dozen plastic armymen buried at their first house in Berwick La. We used to bury them when they got shot in battle.
