Thanks to the good folks at Grizzly Jig and advice from some good crappie fishermen on this site I'm finally able to catch crappie at Reelfoot! I have my boat set up better and using different tackle or maybe the crappie have come out of hiding. Yesterday was hardly any wind and a really good day!

I went yesterday myself fished from 11:30 til 5:00 and ended with 22 keepers, I fished in 12 to 14 foot of water ten ft down. Talked to several guys that got their limit in the same area..

Caught them 12' to 14' deep in 14' to 16' water. Caught a few on the top hook and saw some at 9' on the fishfinder but when I raised some poles' line up I didn't catch any so I went back lower.

Wow........
I fished Reelfoot for the 1st time yesterday and again this morning........
I didn't get skunked, but did pretty poorly....
Fish I did catch were in 12 - 14 fow.....
I used mostly straight minnows (from Bo's), spider rigging, which I'm new at...
Glad some did well!!
Guess I've got a lot to learn!!!
They got fired up good about 3:30
Congratulations on a good day. Thanks for the report.
Any reports shallow?
