Because Xpress doesn't package with Suzuki and Yamaha gives us a big package discount to use their engines on the Xpress. All of my stock Rangers have Suzukis on them. Mrdux, and Wilbur just bought Excel 20' bay boats from me and they both are running Suzuki's.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455711616.721966.jpg

Well heck! Pm the price on Suzuki! I'm all for cheaper!
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

    Bill has em.
He has one less than he did recently. My 140 Suzuki 4 stroke is scary quiet. I swear my Terrova is louder than the 140 at idle. At max RPM and full speed, you can carry on a conversation. My old Yamaha 2 stroker was so loud you couldn't scream over it.

Bill sold me a Suzuki DF90 when I bought my Excel new back in 2010. i've got maybe 130 or 140 hours on it, and it hasn't so much as given me a hiccup. Nothing. It starts right away, and delivers gobs of power on command. It's so quiet that i've had people ask me if it's running. The water cooling stream hitting the water is louder than the motor idling.

i'm a very technical and analytical dude...I get to know everything about my gear...if there are weaknesses I find them...and with 5 years of running mine, I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with the Suzuki 4 stroke.

Thank You for your comments. I've been running these engines every since I've been in business and I have NEVER yet had a warranty claim. They are as good as it gets and I have lots of references like you to prove it.

I'm glad you've enjoyed your engine and boat. That was and is a really nice rig. For a Suzuki, your engine isn't even broke in yet. New Demo Boat

I sell lots of them to the commercial fishermen and catfish tournament fishermen that fish the Mississippi River and other big river systems like the Ohio, and the Tennessee rivers. They love em because they never fail. Day in, day out, they start, run, and don't break down. Down time is expensive for a commercial fisherman or guide. They buy dependability, and Suzuki is the most dependable engine out there, PERIOD. New Demo Boat
