I want to say that I really appreciate all the help that locals give to out of town folks for Miss. fishing. I have been coming over there for many years and fished in tournaments but no longer fish them. My wife and I come over once a year and fish for fun and try to catch her a 3 lb. crappie. I have caught one that was 3 lb. and that is the only fish we have ever brought home from over there. We catch all the crappie we need to eat in our local lakes and never bring home fish from out of state. We have always been treated great every time we have been there. We are coming the 3rd week of March and are real excited about coming back. Hope we can meet up with some of you guys and get to know you. We fish out of a dark green Ranger and pull with a silver Chevy Silverado. Hope to see yall soon, Roger & Darla Absher.

Also from looking a google earth and navionc if the water level is up around 215 or so it appears the whole area around greysport would be a good place to start looking.
Depends on when your coming on what the water levels will be. There only 199 rite now. But yes B's grocery will by closest to you and drydocks has some very good food. Plus its only a short drive back to town if you want something else. Just check in a little closer to when you are coming and there are plenty of guys here that will be glad to help you out with the correct lake information.

The date on google earth looking at Graysport is 11/29/2012. It's at winter pool and looks the same as 02/13/2016.
Young's landing does go into the river. Doesn't look like you'll travel very far in either direction.

For those of you who come from out of state, I appreciate your good words and kind thoughts. But let me tell you there's no need to tell any of us how many fish you keep or don't keep. I'm sorry that some posters dump on you. The truth is these lakes belong to you just as much as anyone else, regardless of your truck tag. I hope you limit out every day you are here.

Thinking about trying to fish Red Grass at Grenada Tomorrow. Is Red Grass accessible by boat if you put in Choctaw?

I'm sure the MDFW likes the revenue from all those out of state licenses, and I'm sure all the local bait shops, gas stations, hotels, grocery stores, restaurants, etc...like it.

I have not been I was planning on going to the lake tomorrow myself. Be careful launching at choctaw tomorrow, they are calling for strong south winds and that will be blowing straight to the ramp so it could get nasty. As far as redgrass goes you can fish the general area but i imagine alot of it is out of the water.

Thanks for the info. We live in Booneville and want to try to fish Grenada some this year. Any other suggestions on Grenada would be greatly appreciated.
