Yes you can. If you make a recording you can play it back in your driveway and set waypoints. You can even do it on the computer at home if you wanted to.

Comparing the Humminbird and Lowrance products I see that Lowrance has the trackback feature that allows you to historically go back and pinpoint a piece of structure you went past to mark a waypoint. Does Humminbird's HELIX have a similar capability I am overlooking?

So as long as a return is still in the screen you can use the cursor and mark it? Does the hb stop the scroll in cursor mode so u can mark stuff?
