    Default Lacassine Bayou 2/14/16

I kept 12 today. Fishing was tough with the wind funneling down the bayou. I couldn't fish the best areas had to settle for any stretch out of the wind. I fished a jig that had a hunters orange head and burnt orange body. Fish were smaller than yesterday on average. I threw a few back. I probably put 20 in the boat. Water is rising. It was really low yesterday. It still needs to come back up a foot. Water temp was 58 degrees and still yoohoo colored. All boats I talked to had around a dozen fish. Everyone was using jigs with black or like what I was using. One man was catching on shiners too.

Nice mess of fish.. Congrats.. The wind wasn't that bad today over at Bundick's. Strongest it got was maybe 5-7mph, so it made for a good day on the lake.

It was blowing there. Could not hold the boat still long enough to fish a tree.
The water came up halfway to the water mark today. Tomorrow it should be just the right level.

I almost didn't go today because of the wind prediction but i am glad I went anyways.. I was in the open lake and during the strongest wind, I could move forward with the tm on 2.

Johnny, good to see you're fishing and posting again. I hope the wife and the kids are fine.

Encouraging report! I'll go tomorrow if the wind isn't blowing to hard when I get up.
