    Default Decent day...Sinclair 2-12

Decent day at Sinclair, fished Island Creek and Nancy Creek, water is still a heavy stain, temps started at 45* and got up to 49*. Kept 18 fish 9in or better, threw back another 10 short fish...all fish caught long lining double 16ths, in 20-25 fow at .8-1.0...best colors were red/black/ char and red/blue/char. We are at Potato Creek for the weekend. Caught several this afternoon with the biggest one being caught by The Outlaw weighing 1.96 lbs. My wife caught a couple around the 1.5 lb mark and I caught all the dinks!!! We only fished about 2 hours this afternoon. Try to post some pics tomorrow. We were pretty much fishing the same depth as you were, Dutch, but our best color was black/blue/chartreuse.

Yeah I wish I had went and fish the Optimus Island/Potato Creek/Twin Bridges area, but I had got a report that Island creek was on fire...it was allright with boats, I guess everyone else got the same report. LOL... If I would have had a few more hours of daylight I would have made the run up there.

We fished the Optimus Island/Potato Creek/Twin Bridges area for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon and ended up with a few decent fish. We went back to the same area today and fought the cold and wind most of the day. We caught fish all day but had to weed thru the dinks. I was actually surprised at the quality of the crappie we caught. We kept 1 catfish and a couple of bass to fry up tomorrow. The water is pretty stained. We fished mainly 20-25 fow with double 1/16ths and our best color was black/blue/chartreuse or most anything dark with a chartreuse tail. The Outlaw had the big fish weighing in at 2 lbs. I was impressed at how we faired under cold and windy conditions. May try for a morning bite tomorrow before we head back home.

Glad to see you and Steve did well. Bet you thought it was just a slight breeze after Crescent. Hate I was like Dutch Friday and went to the hot spot at Island Creek.
