    Default Palmetto Live Action

Hadn't done good there compared to the past couple of years, but today caught 16 sacs, a bass and 2 giant choupiques. The fish where all in one little zone in about 3.5 feet of water. Caught them 18" under a cork with a blue and white Poppa Chop tipped with one of those OCR trailers. No pictures because I started off letting them go and couldn't stop.

There where a bunch of those dark black males and they were all on the bank so I guess the spawn is on there. Probably my last trip until December.

The sun sure brought the people out to enjoy the park. I quit offering fish to the bank fishermen since most of the time they are fishing, but don't want fish. Go figure.

Nice catch. I think you are right about lacassine in another week or 2. I talked to Knippers on the phone and he has been catching in the teens and twenties.

Not that I know of. He spent most of deer season camped at Anacoca Lake at the dam. He deer hunted mornings and evenings and fished mid day. Then spent 2 months on Larto after that.

That's for Palmetto Park. Still in action other places. Trying to stick with an average of 2 days a week.

Shallow Runner fished the Mermentau the other day and picked a few up. He said it was muddy, low, and flowing fast from the north wind. He said it too will be good in a week or 2.
