Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone has any pictures of their structure scan transducer mounting location on the transom. We have a skeeter zx 20 bay with a stepped hull in the back. I'm a little uncertain about where to mount the ducer. Help and advice would be much appreciated. Pics would be even better. Thank you.

Thanks but I've been all over you tube and I can't find quite what I'm lookin for. All the installs seem to be on aluminum boats with a straight down hull or a regular 83/200 transducer. I have a pretty good idea of how it needs to be done, I'm just looking for some reassurance.
Here is some images. Just click on them to enlarge them. They are Humminbird transducers not Lowrance side scan but they mount about the same way I would think.
What are the mounting options for my Humminbird side imaging transducer?
Be safe and good luck fishing
Not sure if these will help.

Don't mount it on the step. I have a step on my 2104 Frontier. And It will only read when idling this is where they installed it when I bought the boat. Only to find out later that it blanks out. How i found out was when i started recording logs for a mapping project.
It has to be installed on the V bottom part of the boat.
A buddy of mine has a nautic star and he can get a reading up to 40 miles per hour.

I have to move mine and install the chrome bracket on the V bottom part that you see in the picture. That way it always has contact with the water.
question, if you move it down there won't you have to do something to keep the 'ducer level and also make sure it doesn't hit the bunks when loading ??
