Tell him G!!!! I can buy three Southerns for less than what 2 Ozarks cost and they have a better tip, lighter too. Nothin wrong with the backbone of the Ozark but the tip is not what the Southerns were. Another issue is customer service, Ozarks CS SUX, period. Ed at Southern Crappie is outstanding and most of the time you talk to him when you call, Ozark never returned my call with a rod issue.
Ozarks in 14 foot are 70 bucks each, Southerns are 42, get 8 of em and that's 560 verses 336, that's a lot of minners!!!!

Well I've been wanting to try spider rigging for a couple years now and I was going to buy bnm rods but I called southern pro Thursday about their rods and Ed himself answered the phone talked to me for about 30 minutes about his product that sold me if the owner of the company can take your call and answer your questions that's pretty awesome so I ordered six twelve footers today so if anyone has any advice or tricks for rigging please feel free to send me a message thanks Tink

Well- I use Bucks Graphite Jig Poles 14 feet long.

Which brings up a subject discussed at the Independence BassPro Shop seminar today I attended. The discussion of numbers of poles allowed per person came up. At first the speaker said you can have more than 3 as long as you have your name/address on them. Then he hedged and seemed to waver and say you should check with the MDC and he doesn't want to get anybody in trouble (or words to that effect). I thought it was clearly settled- you can have more than 3 poles as long as you have your name/conservation heritage card # on the poles. Which gets into the 33 hooks for a trot line area of rationale. Do people think this is still "undecided law"?

I've never had a issue with running 8 rods by myself. I have been checked several times and it never has even been brought up in the conversation.
