Last wk while crappie fishing I caught a 7-8lb striper on one of his 14ft rods and landed it with no problem.

I see the poles are made of Kevlar. How does that compare to Graphite, as far as weight and sensitivity?

Don't think I've fished a Kevlar rod either. Surely hard to beat graphite feel. I was wondering about the weight too. 10 hrs of holding a rod on a slow day will wear you out! That's good news on the tips because I will surely break tips
with people walking all over my boat and paying no attention.

His rods are tough as nails. Great guy who designed his own rods and fishes them. A true crappie fisherman. Some time look up his videos on YouTube. And when you got 30 min to talk crappie fishing just call him up. Nothing like talking to the owner,designer, and salesman all wrapped up in one. Might even get a tip or two.

Well, ya'll sold me. I went with an 8'. I should be set for the year now with rods. With any luck, I will get 2 years out of what I have! Will report back soon.
