What is it?
Husband caught 2 of these sunday. Strange looking fish. Thought about keeping them for catfish bait but since we didn'tknow what they were we decided against that plan.

Hard to tell from the pic but looks like a small smallmouth or highfin buffalo or some type of sucker fish. Don't look like a carp to me though, seems to have too much of a hump back and the face is too long. Leaning towards a river sucker of some sort. Since it was caught on a pole and line, I call it flathead bait!

Head is small. Not regular carp. Maybe river carpsucker. It is the orange/red lower fins that are different.
