Default Looking for a Lake Talquin Report

Does anyone have a current (or fairly current) report from Talquin? Where are they? What's the water temp? Thanks!

Windy, cold and muddy. Fish are in channels but slow. Weather permitting a limit can be caught but takes patience and work. Water temps vary on different areas of the lake from upper 40s to low 50s. Upper end near river is warmest on main lake but is trashy, high, muddy water. The Little River is coolest and it's nasty too. Creeks on lower end have warmer, clean water but are a ghost town on electronics. I would put off a trip for another week or two with conditions/weather.

Awesome info. Thank you, crappielimits. I'm not going for a few weeks. We plan our trip a year in advance so it's always hit or miss with the bite and the weather. Do you fish Talquin often? If so, I will check back in. If you don't mind. We fish oklawaha creek a good bit. And hammock and freeman. But we've had luck up at the iron curtain, also.

Yes, I fish regularly. I plan on trying to fish some next week if weather gets better.
