looks like first part of the week will do a lil damage to ice, but we got plenty to stand it. going back down to around 30 for highs after that. should hold good up here in the north a few more weeks.

In the fifties this weekend. Most farm ponds/lakes around here still have a thin, very thin layer of ice on. Looks almost like slush. Wont be long

We went over to Missy on Sunday looking for some open water to fish. We don't ice fish. Didn't find much on the lake side but the ice didn't look very thick either. Went down to the spillway and after a little searching came home with 23 real nice crappie, several in the 12 inch range and the biggest at 14. One of the better days i have ever had down there. I heard saturday was just as good. Went back Monday evening and didn't do as good, only had 4 good fish which i ended up releasing. Two of those were 12 inch fish.
You can always come to Oklahoma and we'll fish Eufala or Grand..

I hit a couple farm ponds here in Owen County on Saturday that were open. Got a few to bite on a jig under a bobber. This cold snap is gonna cause the conditions I hate the most; ice to thin to fish and to thick for the boat! Might have to head north or south this weekend...
